Physical Education & Athletics

By fostering skills, attitudes and life lessons that can have a positive impact in numerous areas of a student’s life, St. Francis’ motor skills, physical education and athletics programs contribute to the development of good people who also have a good perspective on the value of lifelong physical activity. Middle School students in grades six through eight have the opportunity to compete in a successful athletics program offering a range of sports, from football and volleyball to lacrosse and cross country. Lower School and Middle School students participate in world-class physical education classes modeled after Dr. Robert Pangrazi’s positive, inclusive Dynamic Physical Education philosophy; and Primary School students benefit daily from fun, engaging motor development classes. In addition, students in kindergarten through fifth grade have the opportunity to participate in a variety of league sports through the St. Francis Sports Association, a program of St. Francis Episcopal Church.
